Great Getaway

Hello Everyone,  I hope everyone enjoyed Thanksgiving.  I know i did.  I had two Thanksgivings so i was stuffed.  I was able to go for a lunch time Thanksgiving with a friend whos husband is deployed then we had a dinner Thanksgiving with Gina and Mike.  The food was great.  On Thanksgivng morning i went downstairs to my husband putting the lights on our Christmas Tree.  This is what it looks like.  We have our gifts all under the tree and a couple more that need to be wrapped.  We are in the holiday spirit.

Landon had his first taste of Mashed Potatos!!! He loved them he had a prety good portion of it.  It was so adorable he was leaving over with his mouth open hinting that he wanted more.  He is getting so big so fast.  In the picture below we were at Mike and Ginas house and he was chewing on dads phone.  I must have caught him off guard he is looking at me like seriously mom your doing this. :)  I love it

The day after Thanksgiving a group of friends went with us to Leavenworth.  It is up in the moutains and we were really worried about the 6-12 Inches they were suppose to be getting but thankfully we made it safely.  this is the little Cottage/winery that we stayed in.  Our basement was the winery and they give you a free bottle of wine when staying.  It was quite cute.  The inside was old Fashioned like and had floral patterns.  There were 2 bedrooms downstairs and a loft upstairs, with a hot tub out side (AMAZING)

It was a great get away for us.  I enjoyed the  company and wine with our good  friends.  We had some good laughs.  I have started on pajamas for myself, mom, and dad.  Im hoping to have them done before christmas so i can send them off to my parents.  The weather has been cold and rainy here.  I think i would rather have the snow.  However last time i wished for snow we were out of power for 3 days.  It was not fun at all.  The whole county pretty much shut down.  As the holidays approach im excited but a little sadded at the same time.  This will be my first Christmas not with my family,  I know it sounds silly because im adult now and have a family of my own, but Christmas has always been our holiday.  Ill be going home shortly after though for a few months.  For now im off to start my day,  this evening i have some goodies that were givin to me to post.  They are very cute!  Talk to you soon Bloggers
