Alot of moving and Packing

Hello everyone!!!  I hope everyone is enjoying the start of their weekend!!!  I know that i am ready for this weekend to start.  It will for me on Saturday.  I have 2 sets of friends moving.  One is moving to HI which i had talked about before and the other is just moving from one base to the other, but the Navy wouldn't move them.  I have been helping both of them all week.  Let me tell you, it's a work out that is for sure.  Although i get quite a few boxes from their move for mine :)  That is great news for us!  Come April 1st we are out of here!  I feel like it will be alot of stress lifted off me, and well the hubby also.  We don't have to worry about having to pay utilities or rent.  That takes alot of my plate...it will put us closer to base, and a relief in some other ways.  My husband finally has the whole weekend off!  He had to stay on base tonight but will be home tomorrow morning!  Im so happy, im so thankful for every bit of time i get with him these days, between his schedule and mine we just haven't really seen each other.  Tomorrow is going to be kind of busy for us though.  We are returning some things to the neighbors, and picking up some boxes from our friends to start packing up the stuff that we don't really need.  I will be going home in the next couple weeks until the end of March so i could prob. pack up the whole house and be okay when i got back.

Tonight i was able to skype with my best friend and her family back home.  It's so great to see faces of friends and people that mean so much to you, from thousands of miles away!  I will be able to spend time with them though when i head back home.  It will be eventfull his time!  I am getting Landon "Dedicated" on February 20th by my uncle who married my husband and i.  I grew up going to my uncles church and now he has stepped down as the minister..however he is going to the ceremony for my sister and I.  My nephew Layton is going to be doing it the same time.  I'm truely blessed for such amazing friends and family.

Landon is doing so well, and getting so big.  I guess you never realize how much time babies take up, until you have one.  It's so hard for me to get stuff done around the house.  When he was smaller, i couldn't leave him in the house or the other room because it worried me..and now that he is bigger i still can't go out in the yard, or leave the room for that matter unless he is in his swing, which he doesn't stay in very long.  He wants to be on the go, and im constantly pulling him away from things, or trying to find where he rolled to.  Don't get me wrong i wouldn't change it for the world, it's just you don't realize any of it unless you actually have a child.  For now anyways he is in bed and sleeping so i think im going to do the same.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Goodbyes :(

Well hello again!  I hope everyone has been staying warm where ever you may be!!  I know here it has been in the 40's which i guess i can't complain, back home its like 5 degrees!  Im just ready for warm and sunny weather.  OH WAIT  I live in Washington, lol who am i kidding??

Today has been a good day.  I spent it with a good friend of mine who is now being stationed in Hawaii.  You would think goodbyes would get easier but they never seem to.  They will be back in 3 years, but it's just hard because you become like a family.  Our paths will cross again soon so until then she can enjoy the amazing HI weather and post lots of sunny pictures!  I can enjoy those atleast. :)  Their flight takes off on the 7th of Feb.  I wish them luck on their new adventure!!

Here is Landon in his new chair!!  He was relaxing!  At one point in time he has his arm propped up on the arm rest and his foot propped up on the other side.  It was adorable.  He seemed to like it, but i think he may be a little small still for it.  He starting pushing himself out of it, with hard wood floors it scares me to death.  Not that carpet does alot for him but it would be a little softer.  He has not been able to sit in it much but when he gets a little older he can relax and watch football with daddy!!!

Travis and i FINALLY got the toy we have been wanting for a while!! It's the treadmill that i had talked about in my last blog.  We went and looked at it and it was brand new.  The price was so great we couldn't pass it up.  Thank goodness we got our tax return so we were able to get it.  The hubby got it in and started running on it right away.  Needless to say i didn't last very long on it the first time, but tonight i had a great work out.  Of course i didn't run for a half hour but im feeling it in my legs and Im working my way up.  It's great that i don't have to leave the house to go to the gym, i can work out in my own home and be able to watch Landon at the same time.

Some new and exciting news...February 20th Landon and my nephew Layton will be Dedicated.  We are doing a dual ceremony.  My uncle is a Pastor, and he is getting up there in age, so it's best we do it soon!  Im am so excited that he is willing to do this for us.  He watched me grow up and Married me to my husband over a year ago.  He is truely a great man and im blessed to have him in my life.  The only downfall is that Travis won't be able to make it.  It was his idea to have my uncle do it though, and he said he was okay with not being there.  If for a second though he said it bothered him i would cancel it in a heart beat.  I told him since he couldn't make it he could choose someone to stand in for him.  He chose his dad.  I understand, it wouldn't have been my first choice for certain reasons but..this day is for Landon, and I want it to be special!  For now though im off to bed, i am beat!  I hope everyone has a good night~!

Everyday counts

Today was a good day!  Travis got home around 9am, and we spent the day together!  Everday he is home counts for so much with us.  We take advantage of it.  Especially at a busy time like this.  We were able to drop some our Goodwill stuff off...(the stuff that there was no way we were keeping)  When we were dropping our donations off there was another lady dropping childrens stuff off, She had a cute sports recliner/rocking chair...Landons room is done in sports and i had just mentioned that it was cute, and asked when they thought it would be out on the floor, the man taking the donations had said he isn't suppose to tell us but if she wants to give it to me she just had to pick it up and give it to us..well she did.  It was very nice of her.  Landon is still a little small i think to sit in it but he is pretty close.  I know that these chairs aren't cheap.  I was so thankful!  I have pictures of him sitting in it, but couldn't find my cord to upload them so ill put them on my next blog.  He seemed to like it in one picture he even had his leg propped up on the arm.  :)  He has so much of a personality already, it's adorable.

So i am thinking about going blonde again, i feel like it suites me better.  This is what it used to look like and how i would like it again.  Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. :)  It's kinda hard to keep maintained is the only thing, but i'll manage if i decide to go back.

Today i had a little more energy, which was nice..Im not back to 100% yet though.  Im still stuffy.  Poor Landon had a runny nose today.  I kept having to wipe it.  I feel so bad for him because he can't tell me whats bothering him and the doctors won't give them anything anymore.  I know i how i have felt so i can only imagine for him.  Im thinking i may get into the dr to see if maybe i have allergies.  I have never had a problem with them before but maybe it's just something out here in WA that is flairing them.

My husband and i are looking into buying a treadmill.  It rains so much out here and is so hilly that we can't really get out to exercise.  We could go to base but with Landon it is hard.  It would just be so much easier to have one at home that we can use whenever we want.  We were looking at new ones online, and some are kinda pricey we found one on craigslist, but the review on it were mixed so were kinda worried about it.  The price was great though.  We will figure it out soon enough.  For now though im off to cuddle up in my warm bed.  Im hoping for a sunny day tomorrow so maybe we can get outside.  Have a great night bloggers

Sick Days

Well it has been cloudy here in Washington the last couple days.  To go with it all im sick once again.  I don't know what it is.  I have never been sick this much in a years time.  I think it's this state.  I'm going to go ahead and say..I HATE this state. It is suppose to start warming up this next week though.  It may make it a little better.

On a much better note, I found out i'll for sure be able to go back home while my husband is gone.  Im not sure when im leaving yet or anything but im just happy to know that i can.  Family is a big thing for me, and it's way hard to be away from them.  It's okay when Travis is in because we have our own family..  This upcoming week will be pretty busy for me, im going to be an extra set of eyes to a friend of mine who is having the movers come pack up her stuff.  Her and her family are being transfered to Hawaii.

Landon is getting closer and closer everyday to crawling/walking.  I can't really decide which he is trying to do.  It looks like he wants to walk they way he is getting up.  Hard telling though.  For now though im going to get some rest.  Not feeling the best takes a toll on you!

Sunny days, and warm weather

Hello Bloggers,

Today was a beautiful day here in Washington.  My family and i went to the beach/park to enjoy the weather.  Above were some photos taken from the day.  I wanted to share so many but there were quite a few.  It was 57 degrees and the sun was out.  Im so thankful that my husband was able to be off work today to spend the day with us.

Yesterday i was able to go down to the boat for Family Day.  I didn't think i was going to be able to, but i found a babysitter at the last minute.  It was fun.  It was a long process to get through the security and all that but it was worth it.  I give all of the sailors who are on subs big props.  I personally don't think i could do it.  It's tight areas, and the food isnt the best.  There was so many neat things to see.  It was great being able to see where he slept, ate, worked, and spent his free time.  It is something that i def. want to take Landon to see when he gets older.  My husband was also so kind to get me a USS Nebraska sweatshirt.  I have been asking for one for months.  Finally yesterday he had them put it on his rec bill.  I think to finally get me to shut up :)  Since we bought the sweatshirt we also received a free 8x10 of the boat, and some interesting info on the back.  It was amazing being able to share that expierence.  I only wish i could have had pictures, its not allowed though which i understand.

Things have been pretty busy on my end.  Landon is moving all over the place, so im constantly after him.  We have started packing up the things that we don't really wear/use.  Also Travis started clearing out the work shop today, and getting a ton of stuff ready for goodwill.  April will be here before we know it and we'll be moving again.  The whole moving process is not fun.  I just know that after this im done moving until we get new orders to a different state.  Then the Navy moves us!  Anyways for now i need to get Trav's new patches put on his uniforms.  Have a great night

Productive Day

Today has been quite a productive day!!!  Im so proud of myself.  I was able to clean out our fridge, and deep clean it.  I was also able to start cleaning out our garage, were trying to get things ready for a Goodwill run.  My husband and i will have to downsize in April, so were having to get rid of alot of stuff.  I figured i should get a start on it now, so im not rushed when it's time to get moving.  We will be going from a four bedroom to a two.  I don't know how we will do it, but it will all work out.  Landon has two teeth in and is now crawling.  He started the crawling today.  He doesn't make it far but hey it's day one for him.  He will learn and before i know it he will be up the stairs, under my feet, and out the door. lol  Oh how i look forward to those days.

Sadly i don't think im going to be able to go for Family Day on Saturday on my husbands boat.  I don't have a babysitter.  My friend who was going to do it had something else come up.  :(  My husband and i are both bummed.  I was really excited.  I know there will be other times though that i can go tour it.

I am pretty excited that my husband will be home this weekend.  He gets a 3 day weekend.  I hoping to get alot accomplished.  We have to take some stuff to Goodwill, and get somethings back to Gina and Mike that we had borrowed.  Get as much done as we can.  I just hope that the weather will allow us.  It says it's suppose to rain but maybe we will get a couple hours of dryness.  We also have to take yard waste to the dump while we have the trailer.  Today was beautiful, (i think)  It was in the 50's and the sun popped out for a little.  I was hoping Travis would get home before dark so we could take a walk but he didn't get off until late.  It's okay though maybe we will get another nice day and Landon and i can just go.  Anyways for now im off to relax, and have some "me" time.  Goodnight Bloggers

Very Thankful

Hello Bloggers,

It has been a while since i have blogged.  I need to get better at it!!  Alot has been going on.  My end has been pretty crazy the last few weeks. I must say that the last few weeks have made me stop and open my eyes.  I have always believed in God and grew up in Church.  However i feel like i do not do enough, I don't make it to church or spread the word.  The last few weeks the Lord has helped me figure alot out, and took alot off of my shoulders.  All i had to do was have faith and pray.  I now am wanting to find a Church to call home and get Landon in and have him grow up learning the word of God.

Today we started getting snow again and the ground is covered.  Its so pretty out here when it snows.  It is just very cold.  We try to keep a fire going but at night its hard because no one wants to get out of the warm and cozy bed to put more wood on.  Travis has not been home much because he has been working alot..late nights, and sometimes doesn't even come home at all.  Im very thankful for the time i do get to spend with him though.  Since i have not been on in a few weeks i can do an update on the holidays and new years.

On Christmas day we were able to get on and skype (video chat) with my parents back home so they could see Landon open his gifts.  It was amazing to be able to be with them in come sort of way.  They had no idea we were going to do it so it was a nice surprise.  This was my first Christmas away from them, but i survived, and was thankful just to have Travis home.  Landon loved the wrapping paper.  He didn't know quite what to do but we helped him.  He loved his new toys though.  For New years we spent most of the day at home, but visited with some friends of ours for a little bit.

So far 2011 has been stressful, but like i said above it has finally calmed down.  I would like to thank everyone who has helped us and continues to help us and get us through the next couple months!!!  Here within the next few weeks Landon and i will be flying back home to Kentucky to visit my parents for a month or so.  Im hoping ill be able to make it up to Indiana to see some friends and my little nephew for a week or so.

Im really excited for this Saturday.  As you all know my husband is in the Navy.  He is on Submarines, and i get to take a tour of his boat.  I think it will be neat to see where he works, sleeps, ect.  I have been on one before but it was an older one that was in Groton, CT.  For tonight im turning in to my warm cozy bed, for a good nights rest.
